South Central Ambulance District meets the EMS needs of 16,500 residents in 9 townships and 3 villages covering an area of 225 square miles.
We operate on 4 mills which covers staffing, equipment, training, and operational costs.
This 2 mill levy IS NOT A NEW TAX BUT A RENEWAL on a 5 year cycle and will generate funding in the amount of $51.00 per $100,000.00 valuation.
We are staffed with 10 full-time paramedics and 21 part-time EMT’s and paramedics.
For the past 10 years our call volume has increased by an average of 8% per year. Our 2025 call volume is projected to exceed 2000 EMS calls in 2025.
