South Central Ambulance District offers AHA CPR and First AId classes for the public, providing hands-on instruction in life-saving skills such as adult, child, and infant CPR, choking relief, and the use of an AED. These courses are designed for community members, caregivers, and workplace safety teams who want to be prepared for emergencies.

 

The district also offers Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, which focuses on high-quality CPR, team dynamics, and life saving techniques for EMS, personnel, medical professionals, and students in healthcare programs. All courses follow current American Heart Association guidelines and include certification upon completion.

    The Heartsaver First Aid course trains participants first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills.
